Typical suitable moisture levels are 4% to 8%.
Warm-up: The first step in application is the pre-heating of the anti-corrosion powder coating. First preheat to 50-60 oC in an infrared oven for good uniform conductivity, shelf paint, guardrail paint too.
Spraying: Anti-corrosion powder coatings are applied using a standard crown spray gun. The use of counter electrodes is a great help in controlling uniform spraying.
Curing: Generally, the curing time of the coating is 3 minutes at 130°C and the heating time is 2-5 minutes, depending on the substrate and powder used. Infrared curing ovens need to be able to heat and cure quickly, but not overheat. 130oC is low enough not to damage most boards.
Coating porosity: refers to the number of pinholes and defects in the coating.
